Across our 400 peaceful and serene acres, we’ve created more than just a comprehensive psychiatric treatment and residential rehabilitation facility. We’ve created a home. A place where residents can find comfort in the familiar, whether it’s through the privacy of their own space, the joy of making music or the peace of a walk in nature. Here in Holly, Michigan, every element of our environment is thoughtfully designed to nurture and uplift. And with this dedicated approach, we provide a supportive haven where individuals can find solace and healing. So, if you or a loved one are navigating the challenges of schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder or borderline personality disorder, see how we can help.

Explore the comforts of home at Rose Hill Center.

  1. Private housing: Healing is a deeply personal journey, and we understand the need for a secure and supportive space to do it. By offering private rooms, we empower individuals to take ownership of their recovery in a space that’s exclusively theirs, with the option to visit other comforting spaces we’ve created, as well.
  1. Communal areas: While personal space is important, so too is the sense of community. Whether it’s sharing a meal in the dining room or café, relaxing in shared living spaces or participating in group activities, our communal areas encourage residents to engage in social interaction and build meaningful connections.
  1. Homemade meals: As part of our work program, a team of residents works together to prepare all meals made at Rose Hill, which means the food served in our dining room and café brings both comfort and connection. Each resident also meets with a dietitian to ensure their individual needs are met.
  1. Hiking trails: Our scenic walking trails extend an open invitation to residents to step into nature’s embrace. Beyond the treatment rooms and therapy sessions, these trails offer a different kind of healing — one that comes from the gentle rustle of leaves, the panoramic view, and the simple joy of a walk in the woods.
  1. Therapeutic farm-animals: The animals on our working farm are more than just part of our pastoral landscape. They’re part of the Rose Hill family. Residents are always welcome to interact with them. And many will, as part of their work program. Whether feeding chickens, brushing horses or simply enjoying the presence of an adorable baby animal, our residents get to experience the calming and grounding effects of caring for another living being – one that will offer unconditional acceptance and companionship, free from judgment about mental health or personal struggles.
  1. Greenhouse and garden: Here, our working greenhouse serves as a therapeutic space where residents can learn to grow and care for plants and flowers, connect with nature, and find tranquility. Adjacent to the greenhouse, our butterfly garden adds a touch of enchantment – symbolizing transformation and resilience.
  1. Music therapy: Music has long been recognized for its therapeutic benefits, and at Rose Hill, we’ve integrated this powerful tool into our daily lives. With a piano in every room, residents can express themselves through music, whether they’re seasoned musicians or just beginning to explore their musical talents. Our well-equipped music room and expert music therapist further enhance this experience – offering lessons and support to those who wish to delve deeper.
  1. Physical activity: As part of our holistic approach to treatment, we believe in the transformative power of physical activity. Thus, our state-of-the-art gym, fitness center and outdoor fitness equipment offer residents a variety of ways to stay active and feel at home. From organized physical activities to yoga and dance exercise programs, we provide opportunities for residents to engage in daily routines that support both their physical and mental well-being, so they can build healthier, more fulfilling lives.
  1. Celebrations: At Rose Hill Center, we embrace the holidays and changing seasons with festive parties and celebrations that bring joy and togetherness to our community. Whether it’s a Birthday celebration, Dance Party or a Graduation, these events are filled with laughter, music and the warmth of shared moments.

While we’re proud to be one of the largest mental health treatment campuses in the country, we know recovery is more than just treatment. It’s about finding a place where you belong. Where you feel safe, supported and truly at home.
